Event series: The Good Growth Roadshow launches in May

The Good Growth Roadshow is a series of live events following the launch of The Good Growth Guidelines across Liverpool City Region. The roadshow will be getting under the skin of the five pillars of good growth (culture, pay, recruitment, impact and purchasing) so MSMEs can get to grips with the concepts of good growth and bring them to life in their own businesses. Across five live events, good growth will be made real by platforming inspiring stories, sharing ideas and holding space to collaborate.

These events have been made possible thanks to our long-standing partnership with Growth Platform, the business support service of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.

Who is the series for?
We welcome people to take part who identify with any of the following:

  • A micro, small or medium business leader who wants to grow their business while helping people and the planet
  • Larger company leaders that want to connect with purpose-driven businesses across Liverpool City Region and expand their network to local suppliers and influencers
  • People within the business support ecosystem who help MSMEs to grow
  • Those that want new ideas to overcome very real business challenges; achieving growth, attracting top talent and future-proofing their business against uncertainty
  • Those that wish to be more purposeful in their work but are unsure where to get started
  • Those that are already strong advocates for good growth and are keen to connect with like-minded humans in a friendly, inclusive space

Why attend the Good Growth Roadshow series?
There are lots of reasons to step outside and interact with the good growth community:

  • Practical, hands on guidance for embedding ED&I principles within your organisation. We’ll help you think expansively on what ED&I means from all angles to help produce interesting ideas.
  • The opportunity to hear inspiring stories from real businesses who have been there and done it
  • If you’re facing resistance to embedding these types of practices, the chance to build a compelling business case to your organisational leaders
  • Chance connections with interesting people working on similar challenges
  • Space to think and spark new ideas

Event 1: The business case for inclusivity in SMEs in 2025

Date: May 15 2025
Time: 13:00 – 15:30
Location: Bloom, Wirral
Price: FREE

With a vocal and prominent attack on equality, diversity and inclusion (ED&I) initiatives appearing from the US and mainstream media, many businesses are retreating on their inclusivity promises to focus on ‘more important’ parts of their business. With large corporations backtracking on policies, it would be easy for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) to do the same and discredit ED&I work as a ‘nice to have’. This event dives into why inclusivity not only makes moral sense, but solid commercial sense as well.

Attend to understand how to utilise inclusivity to diversify thinking, boost profits and overcome modern business challenges.
