Predictably, COVID-19’s impact across different industries, sectors, and stakeholder groups over the last 18 months has not been even. Indeed, the pandemic and multiple lockdowns have mostly been found to have exacerbated inequalities at a national, regional, and local level
So, how do we address employment and skills inequalities to ensure we build back our region’s industries equally?
Introducing Firestarters ‘Building Back Equal’ – Employment and Skills.
Employment and skills is the third of our four-part event series ‘Building Back Equal’. It will focus on reducing inequalities in employment and skills, bringing together values-led organisations to discuss what more can be done in their sectors and industries to take action, spark change, and ensure a fair recovery from COVID-19.
During the event, we’ll be hearing from industry experts and guest speakers, as well as having open discussions about actionable next steps we can take.
Employment and Skills will create the space to:
- Hear from industry leaders on the challenges around building back equal
- Make meaningful cross-sector connections with fellow socially-driven innovators and thinkers
- Think about big ideas and how your organisation or business can respond to them
- Be part of a community that’s coming together to make a difference
Guest speakers at Employment and Skills will be announced soon.
